Andy Pratt is a singer, songwriter, music producer and live music performer who was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to one of the wealthiest and most educated families in America. Andy attended Harvard University and in his early days played music all around Boston and Harvard Square in Cambridge, Mass. with his band named "Butter", they played "Cream" music. In 1968 he received a degree in English Literature from Harvard University. After graduation he left for New York where he released his debut album, “Records Are Like Life” in 1969. It was re-released by Polydor Records in 1971. In 1973 Andy Pratt was signed as a Rock Recording Artist by Clive Davis with Columbia Records. Then Andy Pratt exploded onto the music scene with his #1 Hit Song "Avenging Annie", a song about Annie Oakley and Pretty Boy Floyd the Outlaw which came about while Andy was listening to Woody Guthrie's "Ballad of Pretty Boy Floyd." Roger Daltrey, the lead singer for The Who, liked "Avenging Annie" so much that he recorded it on four of his solo albums, including his 1977 album "One Of The Boys" and again in 1981 on the "Best of Roger Daltrey."
